American Spirit: I read something a couple days ago saying Gore, and not the DNC, had more $$ for the home stretch as opposed to Bush, and not the RNC. Yes, you are right that the RNC has a lot more $$ than the DNC. The Republicans are the party of fat cats and corporate corruption. The Democratic Party is the party of the common working man.

Re: McCain campaigning for Bush with a straight face: Sounds like Bush brokered McCain's allegiance by promising to support a mild form of campaign finance reform in January, if elected. Lest we forget, S&L crook Keating bought McCain's support a decade ago for free rein to rip off oldsters' of their life savings.

I doubt if I'll live to see significant campaign finance reform in my lifetime.
