Most will agree that I've been among the high profile cyber-proponents for biotech since m.i.s, Winter '94/'95.*

I didn't know that The Fools commented on biotech, and I've never heard of Jeff Fischer. Why the hell should we spend time discussing his opinions? Because he has a forum?

The fact is that valuations are spread out willy nilly, and that many second- and third-tier biotechs have not "soared just because the whole sector soared".

Why give time/attention to a piece of fluff that any seventh grader could have written in 30 minutes?

The fact is that, post-February, the sector has been sensational for stock-pickers (November-February, it was sensational for anyone with a few extra bucks, as irrational inet money sought a ride home). I feel strongly that such will continue, and guess who knows more about the sector -- Jeffey or us?

He's correct, however...... many lower cap biotechs are wildly over-valued, and they'll come down one way or another. The trick is to name those that will or won't, rather than to take the cowardly route and paint the sector with a wide, inet brush.

My $0.02.

Rick

* imagine that!! a biotech investor who names his stocks, and who has been successful, investing full time, for 5 1/2 years!
