And another CPY press release October 12, 2000 Burnaby, BC - Canada Payphone Corporation today announced a ten-year deal with Suncor Energy Inc to deliver comprehensive Telephone Managed Services to Suncor’s 3800-person Fort McMuray oil-sands camp. The deal, estimated to generate $25Million over 10 years, includes the installation of 800 hotel style telephones, development of a Suncor virtual pre-paid calling card platform, full operator services, long distance services and installation of AT&T Canada branded payphones. "The Suncor Borealis Lodge Telephone Managed System will generate five different streams of revenue and provide full range of the latest public telephone services.” said Bruce Clark, President & CEO of Canada Payphone Corporation. The Suncor installation is already operational and generating initial revenues. Canada Payphone Corporation will complete the project by the end of October.
