Dog: I have glanced at Cpq and Dell prices during last two qtr3 report period for 1998 and 1999. Not much happened, price fairly level right thru the earnings date, except Dell once ran up 4 and then dropped 4 upon the report. Conclude that good/bad news on these large cap stocks is pretty much discounted by earnings date. Looking at NAS during each election period 1988,1992,1999 Nov 1 to Nov 20 wondering if election affected NASDAQ. Apparently not- very little change noted So I guess its up to each individual stock to prepare a surprise (or not) The good news is that the NAS, Cpq and Dell slanted up from October to end of year. Around 35% average increase. Sig
