I understand that Vertigo is a product supposed to be delivered 1st Half of next year, and they are still in beta with it. As for it boosting metaframe sales, the following was taken off their website :

So possibly I was mistaken where I read Vertigo would be used with metaframe, it seems from this release that if people choose not to deploy metaframe, they can buy vertigo to webify their software for small devices.
