They have the most popular UNIX flavor, SOLARIS which will be ported to the Itanium class of chips. TechB, Intel and Sun had a tiff and Sun is no longer working on Solaris on Itanium. Sun no longer thought they needed to be bothered because everything is going so swimmingly with them. Sun has desired not to compete with their customers as Intel does. They simply supply their customers with building blocks such as supplying ISP's and ASP. In the world the way you see it, how does Intel compete with its customers? TV
