CBS National Poll

In this poll, conducted in the days following the third and final presidential debate, 44 percent say they will vote for Bush on November 7, while 42 percent say they will vote for Gore. . .

This poll was conducted October 18-21, 2000, among a nationwide random sample of 1,279 adults interviewed by telephone. The sample includes 1,010 registered voters, and a proportionately weighted probable electorate of 595 likely voters (825 unweighted). The error due to sampling could be plus or minus three percentage points for results based on the samples of both registered and likely voters. The error for subgroups may be larger.
