I think Neufeld is another one of those psychologists who gets paid telling people what they want to hear, since most people don't listen with their critical thinking hats on. In the end, when people have problems, they just look for someone/something to blame, and he's their collective voice. They'll do anything but look at the reflection in the mirror as being the culprit. (similar to trading) From my observation, many of these parents are lost souls anyway, living from day to day without reason or purpose, and it actually might be much worse since these particular parents are mostly well to do and have so much idle time on their hands, so how were their children going to grow up anyway? If Mommy needs her Range Rover replaced because the neighbour just bought a newer one...

Neufeld contends that it started with the Boomers, but if we think about it carefully, following his line of "logic", their parents would have been responsible, etc., going back to the dawn of mankind. He's very cleaver, though, packaging it all with politically correct concepts.
