But as the market tanks the number of Classic posts dries up and the number of Mudge posts stays the same or even rises, so the ratio falls.

Mudge posts are about nothing so they are zeros. Anything divided by 0 is 0. No correlation.

However, meaningful content does seem to decline during market declines and the amount of nothing content seems to increase during declines. Has anyone looked at early AM posts to measure the meaningful content of those posts as opposed to other time frames? Do early AM posts increase relative to other time-frame posts during market declines?
