I realize the name-sake topic of this thread has gone off-radar (for the time being?). But, submitted for your approval:

1) Poor debate performance -- Think about how Gore was supposed to thrash Bush in the debates, and how he ended up performing quite poorly. I wonder if the molegate distracted Gore's camp from the debates just a bit. Also, I wonder if they fell for the video that was sent to them (DON'T even THINK they didn't watch it, ok? That's non-starter stupid). They looked at a fake playbook?

2. Ever since the molegate issue arose, Gore's performance has tailed off and Bush has come on strong. Gore isn't getting an inside peek anymore and that might explain why he's so off-message.

Admittedly, a bit of X-Files conjecture, and likely not true. But the coincidences are interesting...
