The concept I had ran along these lines,

I could trade from the house in Bermuda

I would be an hour by plane out of New York, and the US would allow me to stay inside an average of 180 or so days a year. So I could own an apartment in New York, for instance, and the way air travel is these days I could catch up with the kids anytime. Hell, with a house in Bermuda they might prefer to catch up with us.

The last time I checked, which was a few years back, my income taxes would be zero from Bermuda and zero from the Irish Republic. After a certain number of years my estate taxes would also be zero.

If they would just get rid of those nasty hurricanes it sounds great. Same deal held in the Caymans, I recall.

If I ever get around to doing it I'll have to start all over to see what the deal is. Right now, we still have one boy in Elementary School so it's a few years out.
