~40% down from recent highs and no news. In light of my previous post, these swings are the nature of the beast with the current volatility in this market (and no news releases)....especially for small cap, financially distressed companies. According to posters on Yahoo, there was a Charlotte Observer article last Saturday messages.yahoo.com that denied rumors of the CEO's ouster and suggested the company was, in fact, sustaining its momentum towards a significantly improved financial status. Perhaps silly common sense here, but with high fuel costs virtually a certainty this winter, it would seem the sort of linens etc. that PTX sells would be in exceptionally high demand...to counter that lowered thermostat. But common sense and investing having a very tortured history together.
