Go to a Porsche dealer and tell him you want one now...his response will be, "there is such demand, nothing available for the next 6-9 months"...same thing for Mercedes, Ferarri, etc...also, bidding wars on homes in both Silicon Valley and Silicon Alley are still going on with a vengeance, even though the dot.comers and others got creamed....while I would agree that some areas of the country and ergo the economy will/have slowed, some folks still seem to have cash on hand and the US economy will continue to thrive and prosper...the world has not fallen off a cliff.
