(10/22/00, 10 a.m. ET) - Neil Young's upcoming live
album, Road Rock Volume 1, will be accompanied by a
DVD and video, according to Reprise Records. The Red
Rocks Live, Friends & Relatives DVD and video was
shot entirely during Young's performance at the Red Rocks Amphitheater
outside Denver during his summer Music In Head tour. The title refers to the
makeup of Young's road band, which included his wife Pegi and sister Astrid on
backing vocals and a group of players that included longtime cohorts Ben Keith,
Spooner Oldham, Jim Keltner, and Donald "Duck" Dunn. While the album is
due out November 21, Friends And Relatives is slated for a December release.
The track list, however, will be identical to the album: "Cowgirl In The Sand,"
"Walk On," the previously unreleased "Fool For Your Love," "Peace Of Mind,"
"Motorcycle Mama," "Words," "Tonight's The Night," and a cover of Bob
Dylan's "All Along The Watchtower" that features a duet with Chrissie Hynde
of the Pretenders, who opened for Young during the tour.
