"AMD reacting to PIV" is not my perspective at all. My take of the situation is that PIV is reacting to Athlon. Athlon is and has been taking market share from the PIII. So the questions need to be turned around for Intel to address.

The real question to be answered is, when will analysts wake up to "what's really going on" as opposed to "what Intel's spin is" on everything.

The P4 "beating out" Mustang is not a given in my mind either. Again, from an Intel catch-up perspective, my take is that Intel pretty much has their hands tied for the next three quarters.
