No Cdn accounting laws are much more tighter........NT has always been writing off the goodwill which is why on paper they have been losing money after all depn & amortization. Barron's article (which I haven't read) does NOT bring any new news.........everyone knew that CSCO didn't write off goodwill so I doubt that the institutional investors (who drive the market) was unaware of CSCO's P&L not including goodwill write-off.
