So your basicly saying they have nothing to do with Stanford?-->Stanford University Files a Lawsuit in Bid to Protect Its Name 05/25/2000

Stanford University has filed suit against Stanford Microdevices Inc. in an effort to protect its name. The university's acting general counsel, Debra Zumwalt, is quoted. "We believe it is important for the public to know that this company has no relationship whatsoever to Stanford University." Stanford Microdevices is to begin trading on the Nasdaq Stock Market today, offering four million shares priced at $12 each.
