NetApp filers increased as a percentage of revenues, while NetCache products declined: NetApp filers made up approximately 96% of revenues, up from 95% in Q1:F00 and 92% last quarter. Within its filers business, Windows only sales grew to 19% of revenues from 15% last quarter. NTAP’s database business declined to 16% of revenues from 18% last quarter. NetCache product sales declined both as a percent of revenue and on a dollar basis. NetCache products represented 4% of revenues, down from 8% last quarter and 5% in Q1:00, which reflects a mix shift to low-end systems. Management noted that, quarter to date, NetCache revenue is equal to the total NetCache revenue from FQ1 (approximately $10 million). Management further emphasized that its caching products are part of the company's focus on delivering end-to-end solutions and we expect caching as percentage of revenues will return to high single digits this quarter. |
