| | Well, truth be known, I really think a flat tax of 15% would be great for everyone! But the folks on the bottom ($35,000 and under) wouldn't think that "fair"....and frankly, I'm tired of hearing how unfair that is, and because of the "unfairness", we have all sorts of other programs to compensate.
I really believe that foodstamps, free medical, free housing, and all sorts of other "entitlements" ought to be counted in the $35,000.... After all, most of us have to pay for those items, and with after tax dollars at that.
But just so that you know....Mr. Gates wouldn't pay tax on $60 billion....how much DO you think he gets a year.... ??? And on top of that, look at the foundation money that The Gates' family has set aside for people literally all over the world...
I think many people forget that...a billion here, and a billion there...pretty soon, you're talking real money...except Mr. Dirkson said, Millions, not Billions....
Just for the heck of it, does anyone know how much the United States spends in just one day? My bet is that it is Billions...with a Capital B.... |
