I agree with the sad last part of your statement, the part about "when bad things happen to the man," but don't think a woman wants her man to cry even when bad things happen to her. I think she wants him to be sensitive to her needs in various ways, but the crying thing isn't one of them. She might crave anger in her behalf, or action. Crying? Nope. Will the PC police be arriving soon?
