Witches of the thread, UNITE!!!!!!!!! and start screaming "HATE MONGER" NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Why? What good would it do? Some people are determined to believe anything that supports what they desperately want to believe. They neither question the data nor the credentials of the study, the bias of the publisher, or the academic reputation (or lack thereof) of the author. It doesn't seem to be important to these people whether the majority of reputable research validates or contradicts what they have found-- they really don't want to know this. Much more important is that they surround their find with exclamation marks and "so theres", and cling to it as gospel truth because it provides, whether correctly or not, some feeling of legitimacy for their beliefs.
