the US blocks the importation of medicines and medical instruments under the guise that they can converted to non-medical uses. Sarmad - do you think Saddam cares about Iraqi citizens? I'm not trying to justify US sanctions - I'm actually against the sanctions, because I see them being of no use - they are only contributing to the death and hardship of innocent Iraqi people. But I don't believe Saddam really cares. -Eric
