Is G.Moore naming RMBS a gorilla (and GMST) ?
from the gglistserv :

Gang,
I have been following the Rambus discussion with great interest as I recently bought some and some Qualcomm too, having liquidated some holdings that were not gorilla game holds. I also believe that we could Gemstart to this mix of "IP only" gorilla candidates. But the challenges against this model that have been voiced are really thoughtful. Is there an historical precedent for an IP only play (presumably ARM and MIPs cores have some correlation, but neither has been a world beater). There is something really antagonistic about holding an industry ransom to your patent position -- maybe that creates the business equivalent of bad karma and causes grief somewhere along the line one way or another (nationalization,
for example, might not be out of the question in some cases). Anyway, it just makes me proud to be part of this list.
