Anyone have Marconi's yearly revenues for "optical products"? According to Hoover's Marconi's main competitors are Nortel Networks, Lucent Technologies and Cisco Communications. With $10 billion in yearly optical revenues, Nortel NT provides 43% of the world's fiber optic equipment and Lucent LU provides 15% of the world's fiber optic equipment. If I remember correctly (from my earlier research) Marconi is focusing on "last mile fiber optic solutions" so Marconi should be well positioned to capture a niche in the world market for the "next generation" fiber optic revenues" With valuations for fiber optics companies soaring in the USA it would be interesting to value the UK Marconi based on a multiplier times "optical revenues" cheers
