In true Lexar Media form a press release is filed in the cover of darkness.

SanDisk legal will wake up not knowing what has transpired.

Jesse, remember that...

SanDisk risked the entire future of the company
on developing the CompactFlash standard.
Reimer knows this. He is an ex-SanDisk employee.
To claim now that he started Lexar not knowing
this fact is just a bit far-fetched.

Unfair competition is also an interesting concept.
Let's not forget there are viable alternatives to CompactFlash including
floppies, SmartMedia, microdrive, Clik!, Memory Stick, DataPlay...
Lexar sells both SmartMedia and Memory Stick. Is someone
holding a gun to their head and telling them to manufacture
CompactFlash as well? Excuse my confusion here, but
the unfair competition argument just seems ludicrous.

This seems to be an eleventh hour strategy that Lexar is employing.
Also, look at how illiquid LEXR has been of late. I suspect
there are LEXR shareholders that got into this company not
knowing the full patent infringement story. I finding the timing
of this latest court motion suspect. When does the trading
restriction for insiders expire?

I cannot wait to see SanDisk's reply.
