Re: gun availability and crime How on earth could it be possible that with guns outlawed in D.C. that any crime at all would be occuring? DC has proven the fallacy that reducing guns reduces crime. This argument is a loser. I attended a function in which Steve and Cokie Roberts spoke last night. They both basically predicted that Gore would go down in flames. You talk about major media elites here. Their summmary was basically, both candidates are similar, but the great majority of voters find Gore insufferable. Gore's "win at any cost" attitude that people dispise is just icing on the cake. It's a done deal, it's over, put a fork in 'im, put a bow on it, it's all wrapped. Look for more major rags to come out with Bush endorsements. This election could be a rout.
