There are forecasts that, in the next 5 years, a significant precentage of PCs will be replaced by Network Computers (NCs) which will not need hard drives (at least, not as much). This obviously will be bad for drive makers and PC makers, mixed for chip makers, and good for semi-equips.

The point is that chip content in all products is increasing, so the PC/semi-equip relationship you are worried about is probably a short term phenomenon.
