CNBC has become so obsessed with golf, Regis, sound effects(truck air horns, horse noises, etc.), wrestlers, road trips, underwear(yes, men's underwear was a highlight this morning of Faber and Kernan's dialogue), pop/rock stars(give the Britney Spears thing a rest), nicknames, celebrities, and on, and on, and on, that it seems that the point and purpose of CNBC's/Squawk's very existence has been lost in the mess. Kernan needs to be reeled in by management as he has gone too far afield and is taking Carl Quintenilla, Steve Frank, and other very talented newbies down the WRONG ROAD. Even his buddy David Faber who sometimes sits in disbelief of Kernan's antics may, unfortunately, be too far gone. Kernan's stream of consciousness drivel is redundant and monotonous. He was at his best about 3-5 years ago when he didn't know it, i.e. before he received all the notoriety. Squawk Box has become an Oprah Winfrey, Regis, Letterman hybrid that imho, doesn't work. Pleeeeeeeez ask management to tighten the reigns on him(Kernan)a little and return to the CNBC we used to know. Btw, Maria reported CPQ's estimated revs for Q3 wrong(3 billion$ short)all morning. El
