Portrait of America Poll yesterday says that dead people run better than live ones in MO:

The race for the United States Senate between incumbent Republican John Ashcroft and the late Governor Mel Carnahan is now a toss-up, 49% to 46%. This is within the margin of sampling error. According to Missouri law, it is now too late to remove Carnahan’s name from the ballot. If Carnahan wins, Democratic Governor Roger Wilson will appoint the next senator. Ashcroft held a 10-point advantage, 50% to 40% in the POA survey prior to Carnahan’s passing.
