Alan,

Unfortunately, the best answer I could give would be to pass along this, which BTW is how I initially acquired the article. BTW, since IA is not public, we may have to rely on people in the field such as this for data.

I have no ulterior motive in getting this release on SI. I don't work for IA-Fab and don't have IA-Fab options :-( I did visit their facility six months ago and was very impressed with their design for stockers and their business approach. I expect them to do close to $25M in the next 12 months in stocker sales. PRI and Asyst will be facing some real competition soon.

I am a lurker now. I used to post sporadically until I got a 'tap on the shoulder' from my then boss Tony Bonora of Asyst Technologies. While at Lam I may have posted once or twice. After starting SMIF Solutions early '99 I have stopped posting - mainly due to time constraints. I am also in contact with several semi-equip. makers in the SF Bay Area and come across inside info. So I play it safe by not posting at all in public forums. I catch up on SI posting once every 10 or 15 days. Hence the delay in getting IA-Fab press release to Brian's attention
