BV,

It has been nice these past few days to see CTRA start to get a little respect in the market. Let's hope this is the result of a genuine appreciation of its business opportunity, and not simply a dead-cat bounce.

I was a bit surprised that the analysts remained quiet on the quarter, also. My suspicions are that (1) they're not especially interested in CTRA because the company will not have to go back to the trough to raise more capital, and (2) they're so spooked about the devastation in the Net sector -- and the ridicule that analysts such as Henry Blodgett and Mary Meeker are subject to these days -- that they're following a new rule: "If you don't have anything nasty to say about a Net stock, then don't say anything at all." I believe this stance is warranted for the majority of dot-coms, but I continue to think that CTRA stands out as an infrastructure company whose products have profound implications for the entire field of business communications. Long term, the potential problem I see for CTRA is not the market opportunity, but the fact that the barriers to entry in this field are relatively low.
