Makes no sense.... not at all. They must be looping to the green boxes... using PON's for distribution to the curb/house. If they're homeruning to the home they will fail. They will have a cable management problem that will be unsolvable.... The cost of the fiber isn't the issue so much - it's the cable management (you can't twist a peice of glass like you can a piece of copper... then there's the splicing, connectorization issues...
