dybdahl, take your apples to oranges comparisons elsewhere. You are not running the same functionality with the 2 OSes you are comparing. Why is it so hard for you to understand this point ? And your measure of performance may not be the one that is standard nor the only one. Have you thought about that. There is NO reason for open source software to have advantage over closed source software. Linux is not a good multiprocessor os, nt/solaris/sunos are. Stop trying to inject your idealism into untenable arguments. If microsoft software fails at any point versus linux, it is not because of open/closed source, it is because of incompetence or inattention to details.
