Lots of undecideds on Nov. 7 will close the little curtain behind them, then ask the question: "Am I better off now than I was in 1992?" Then they'll vote their pocketbook. Bush, no doubt, has solidified his base with die-hard Repubs and those who hate Clinton for his sexual misconduct. However, I suspect that Bush has basically come to a dead-end. I think most of the remaining undecideds will either vote for Gore or not vote at all. All Gore has to do in the next two weeks is continue to work hard (like he did over the Labor Day weekend) and hammer home the message of peace and prosperity. I think if Gore takes off his tie and rolls up his shirt sleeves, he'll win because he has the better battle plan for America.
