Telstra Corp. rose three cents to A$6.27 having reported growth in its mobile subscriber base rose to 4.43 million customers over the quarter ended Sept. 30. Some 306,000 new customers were added over that period. Its nearest rival, Cable & Wireless Optus, said it now has about 3.1 million mobile phone customers, having signed up about 222,000 GSM and CDMA customers in the latest quarter.
