To put it into terms they can understand...

Lets say your allowance was raised 22% last month and this month you "only" got a 16% raise. Of course, you might extrapolate that decline to mean your allowance might actually go down if it continues.... but you should be happy that it went UP (more bookings than shipments) especially when shipments (that pay the bills) were at record levels.

What is funny. IF we could freeze bookings to equal shipments for a year, the industry could still seem profit growth as they would work on improving margins which gets far easier to accomplish when they are not growing so fast.

STILL, we DO need to be cautious as the trend is in the same direction as an end of the cycle. IF we didn't know 300mm, copper and Moore's Law shirks were coming down the pipeline, then we might even really worry.
