Certainly few of us will argue that monopolies are either to the consumer of the total industry's advantage, and that they should not be curtailed. For one, I am outraged at the fragile crap that Microsoft sells, and delighted that mainly Republican governors brought a successful suit.

More-- I assume all well informed people know that Bush made a great deal of money on the Texas Rangers without a penny of investment on his part. He was financed by the very governments that he wants out of our pockests (and into his big ones). In addition, he was able to get land condemned for a fraction of its value for his benefit. Only very rich (republican)land holders could bring the matter to court, and they prevailed.

He ignored health in Texas but gave a tax break to the oil industry. Give me a break. Do any of you think he earned entry into oil industry ranks thru hard work and big brains or, perhaps, thru contacts. Then, of course, is his heroism defending our country in Viet Nam. He hides behind the flag and encourages others to die and be maimed. Finally, altho I am personally for capital punishment, I know all human systems are subject to errors. Bush seems casual about the huge number of executions in Texas, and the process that gives indigent defendents politically appointed defenders.

I think America deserves much better!

Next is his understanding of technology. Enough said.
