AMZN<------- BREAKING NEWS!!!!!!!!!!!!! NEW YORK (Dow Jones)--Amazon.com Inc. (AMZN) has received informal inquiries from the Securites & Exchange Commission staff with respect to accounting treatment and disclosures for some of its initial Amazon Commerce Network transactions. In a press release Tuesday, Amazon said it has responded to those questions. The company said it has reviewed the accounting for the transactions with its auditors and the SEC staff, and it believes its accounting treatment and disclosures were appropriate. Amazon said it will continue to cooperate with the SEC staff if they have further questions.
