re:The NDX-100 futures down about 100 from regular close. MSFT down 0.75, CSCO down 3.75, INTC down .25. These are down in spite of a better than expected earnings by CPQ. Throw the baby out with bathwater... The problem is Nortel. They missed the revenue estimates and thus the whacking of the NDX in the AH. CPQ is not a market mover; Nortel is. The optics gang are also getting slammed. This could be the time for a deflation of the PE of the optics stocks. Opportunities will arise out of this action, but it may take a while for the dust to settle.
