And the result is that we're NOW nearly 60% dependent on foreign oil, put precariously in a position where the Arabs can extort foreign policy concessions from us (such as condemning Israel, but not "go to hell" Arafat).. And furthermore, we're seeing electricity demand increasing by leaps and bounds, but 40% of the US natural gas reserves are "locked up" under Federally owned monuments.
