For the record I covered QQQ yesterday, and MSFT. I have no short positons tonight and I'm patiently waiting for margin calls once again before I buy nasd. Only long several drillers and PLCO! So actually this conservative game has cost me no less then 60K!! Rande actually deserves the credit for his call of the 4 day rally from thursday. I was selling longs by the end of the day thursday! Watching my largest trading positons AVNX, OPLK, and CRA of last week all go up over 30% from where I sold HAS MADE ME SICK!!!!!!!!! The only gratitude I have had is watching CRA retreat from 79-69 this afternoon. MSFT and QQQ short was for short money. Good luck all, I think everyone on this thread needs to look very closely at OPLK OPLINK COMMUNICATIONS I have done my DD and this stock rest assured is about to get swollowed up by CSCO. You ask how I know, because OPLK issued a promissory note in the amount of 50 MIL to csco.( one of OPLK's largest customers for the quarter ending june 30 2000) The note was converted to shares at the offering and Mr. Terance P. Brown a member of OPLK's board of directors is Vice President and General Manager of the Optical transport business unit at Cisco Systems. This recent IPO real competitors are GLW and JDSU, to a lessor degree AVNX and NUFO. Look closely at the others then compare to OPLK you will know why I believe this stock is a must own BEFORE quiet period end 10/30!! Thats correct OPLK will get strong buys on Monday with at least a 60-75 price target! Also earnings are 11/7 after the bell, from the conversation I had with IR OPLK is a steal under 40!! Good luck all!!
