That's weird. Intel LOWERED the max die temp with faster processors which made them less tolerable to high levels of heat. Do you think the new temp is a result of the new stepping someone mentioned? I would think that if the 1.1 and 1.2GHz can do 95 deg C the others could as well, but I'm no engineer...

Edit - the max thermal power (pg 35) and power supply current (pg 40) increase from 650MHz - 1GHz seems linear, but the 1.1 and 1.2GHz have numbers off the chart... Could this be a sign Thunderbird is running out of steam on the current process? Chuck? Paul? TWY?
