Bush was in town tonight for a rally. I got the opportunity to shake his hand. Our governor, Jeb, was with him. They were both very gracious. More importantly, there were thousands of cheering supporters there. What encouraged me was the fact the audience was even on the young side on balance and equally split, male and female. They were cheering his promises wildly. Afterward, the audience was basically saying in the smaller conversations that he is so much more honest than Clinton and Gore and that anyone who says he isn't a very smart and balanced man is full of it. He is smart and he will lead. Help is on the way.
