The GOP started the Chinese connection and are still there en mass. Know what Kissinger does for a living? He's done it ever since he left office. He's a highly-paid "consultant" for large corporations wanting to do business in China. Bectel corporation is also heavily involved. George Schultz, the one who first told GW he should run for president. Don't blame the Chinese connection on the Dems. That's what Naderites are trying to do. The GOP would treat the Chinese no differently if they were in the White House. Only difference is they wouldn't even ask for any human rights concessions or mention Tibet.
