You're reading my mail! This was my Lesson Of The Week: I don't have to make money today. In the past, I have sometimes thought that I could do better if I had more patience. I realized last week, though, that I do not lack patience. Rather, I learned that I can benefit by a slight change of perspective. I have decided to start every trading day with the following affirmation: I don't have* to make money today.* Often, I have found myself beginning my trading day with the feeling that I must make some good money today, which in turn makes me anxious and impatient. Telling myself to be more patient does not work when the underlying urgent premise of having to make money this* day* is still in force. So now I am prepared each day for the possibility that I will make no money today. I happily accept this possibility, every day. Exercising the better part of valor, I live to profit another day! :-) ig
