Not a big deal it is expected considering dot.com problems. It is good to warn now and surprise positive later rather than the other way around. Hasn't anybody noticed the Q4 warning yet? And what about the "low double digit Q4 growth compared to Q3 growth" language? I thought self-install was supposed to blow the doors off the sub rate, now it will have no impact? Self install will increase sub rate as expected. They are talking about lower expectations for revenues from EXCITE activities (due to dot.com problems). In the long run this is no big deal. Sub growth is important now not ad revenues. With subs compounding at over 25% per quarter it will not take long to build a substantial number of eyeballs and the advertisers will take increasing notice. Excite ad revenue and Ecommerce will trend upward lagging subs growth. The tail does not wag the dog. Did you join the ah, private client (currently short) group? Do you have anything else negative to offer this thread today? What about Bell he didn't look too good on CNBC and it might rain soon.
