(Infocast News) Softbank Investment International (0648) Chairman Yoshitaka Kitao clarified that the recent decrease 4.6% shareholding of substantial shareholders was due to substantial shareholders have distributed warrants to the management. The management exercised the warrants, the shareholding of the substantial shareholders are then decreased from 65% to 61%.

The Chairman said that the subsidiary Asia Net-Trans Fund has US$36 million capital on hand, of which US$15 million to US$18 million will be invested in six or seven projects. The capital on hand is expected to be used up this month; after that, the company will finance again for further investment.

At present, the discusssion on shares swap between the company and Chinadotcom is still going on. He said that the company may have further cooperation with Pacific Century CyberWorks (0008). He revealed that the company has gearing ratio of 32% and does not intend to buy back shares.

The resolution of acquiring 10% stakes of Morningstar Asia Ltd by the company is passed in the EGM..
