Tim, thanks for posting that. I'm sure Yogi has picked up some points on the short side, but I know he is always relieved when he covers :-).
Analog engineers are such a precious commodity these days I would be afraid to ever short this stock even when we know it gets frothly.
There is always the chance that this company gets taken out and the frame of reference is pretty high. Remember when BurrBrown was bought out for north of 20 x sales. I know the general market is in a funk , but scarce talent still commands an incredible premium in the marketplace.
Analog engineers are a sacred bunch. Not your average joe_six_pack digital engineer.

Anyways...

I've been reading up on NextGen I/O (Intel's Infiniband, etc) and I am just loving the fact that every article I read mentions something about how critical the "analog component" is to the next gen products.

Likewise, ever since '95 Gilder always said that the ultimate bottleneck of this revolution would be the I/O. The mass media always quotes him in terms of the long haul fiber buildout, but the core of his 'bottleneck' thoughts has always been in the I/O. I would add that the I/O is where we will ultimately see the most 'value-add' over the next phase of this revolution.

So, what I am saying is that we should be buying open, proprietary 'enabling technologies' that will be components of next gen I/O products--- And I believe that analog components will be among these.
