Kevin, interesting site, but

- You seem to have missed today's Battleground poll which shows the race tightening rather significantly: Bush 45% Gore 39%. Three of the four polls you site show significant movement towards Gore in the last few days.

- I'm not sure of the theoretical validity of weighting the polls in this manner. Aren't the polls conducted on different days using different question wording and different methodologies?

- Regarding Fuzzy Logic #2, that 94% of the stock market gain occurred during the 75% or so of Clinton's administration in which Republicans had majorities in Congress, suggesting a slight positive correlation between Republican majorities and prosperity:

First of all, correlation does not prove causation. It may be that prosperity creates Republican majorities rather than vice versa, or the two facts may be coincidental. Actually I think it is a reach to give either party much credit for what goes on in the economy.

Secondly your factoid may be taken as evidence that the combination of a Democratic president and Republican congress has been positive for the nation and should be continued. This is, in fact, my view.
