dybdahl, I agree with this post somewhat. As I said in my post, Windows Explorer is trying to optimize for the modem user of the web and that's why you see the problem. This can be fixed relatively easily by MSFT. The user experience of the modem user will be better on win9x/win2k than Linux, I suspect.
